I started work on this ongoing project during my final semester of art school at KCAI. It documents each place I've traveled in my life, year-by-year. Each pane shows one year of my life and where I traveled that year, with wooden cut-out silhouettes traced from a map of the continental U.S. Later versions of the Map Project include my travels in Europe and Alaska on separate panels. I’ve removed the familiar landmarks, and the viewer is left with an abstract yet specific shape of my life as it progresses through the years.

I have used a variety of “vehicles” to present the glass sculptures as the Map Project has progressed. Here are four versions.
